It saddens me to know that we live in a society that propagates so many frivilous lawsuits. I wish the individual school districts and government would pour money into the schools instead of wasting it on politics.

As for Dear Jane's comment, I would have to agree that frivilous lawsuits are a waste of time and money. In this case, it is not frivilous. Defending the first amendment is of utmost importance. Confusing this with a case like the one where a woman sued McDonalds for pouring coffee on her own crotch is unfortunate.
